Isaac continued with his work from school, a school-based art competition, inspired by the Draw my Stamp Story national art competition.
And he says, “My artwork is about protecting nature and the animals”.
A really attractive piece with bright colours! And I really enjoyed looking at and identifying all the ‘nature and animals’ that he included! 😀

A creative challenge from parts of an egg carton!
Isaac envisaged Snapdragon, a character from Plants vs Zombies (game) out of ‘trash’! Learnt from him that Snapdragon attacks by spraying fire to hit multiple zombies at a time.
And indeed, the egg carton does look like the head of Snapdragon! Love how his creative little mind works! 😁

Isaac was so excited throughout this multi-modal project of creating his very own board game! His ideas were aplenty and spontaneous!
He planned out the rules, made his own cards, thought of the reward and penalty system, designed , drew and added colours to the whole board game.
The point of this game was to earn as much money as possible, hence the name of the game – Coin Master! 😆
And he was so happy to be able to play it, at the end! His pleasure and sense of achievement is priceless! ❤️

Isaac saw this Super Mario game made from cardboard on Pinterest and decided to make it as a project.
He enjoyed drawing the obstacles and the challenges in the game as well as the designing the cover of this toy.
The cutting of the cardboard and the need for precision was a little beyond his age but he took an active interest in figuring out how the mechanism works by watching the how-to YouTube again and again. Such earnestness! ❤️
And it works… albeit unevenly! 😅

Isaac’s room, with his ‘smelly’ comfort bolster and all his favourite soft toys. And he tells me that he doesn’t like to sleep under the blanket because it’s too hot. Also catching a glimpse of his other furniture and stuff in his room – cupboard, table for his homework as well as his computer games and remote control toys!
He even drew a clock on one of the walls… can you spot it?

Made our own scratch paper last week and Isaac was so excited to reveal the colours beneath the black!
He also mentioned that he is not very good at cutting, so he was set the task of exercising his finger muscles, with a few tips on how to use the scissors…
We discussed about corals and brain corals and after adding them in and with all the parts pulled together to form a composition…

Translating Yammper, Isaac’s 3D doggie-sculpture into a painting…
The story goes… Isaac is doing his homework but Yammper wants attention. So he gives Yammper lots of food and fruits (apples, bananas, mangoes, watermelon), a toy that shoots out balls and the TV is also switched on to entertain Yammper. The TV show is about a dog chasing after a person while its owner is trying to catch it. 😆
And the good pet owner that he is, a pee and poo bowl is also included! 😁

Meet Yammper, Isaac’s new doggie! Looking at the care he put into creating this, I am sure he will be a good papa to his real life pets next time! 😁

Outlining cultivates patience and is so good for strengthening of psychomotor skills! What a difference outlining did to this piece of work!
And he mentioned to me that he won a prize for this piece when he submitted it to school!

Set against a landscape of rocks and erupting volcanoes, a fight is taking place between the golden knight and a dinosaur. As cute looking as he is, this dino is not to be trifled with…
When the dino is angry, he breathes out fire! So fiery is his breath that even the bird calls ‘999’! 😆
Can you see a ghost peeping out to see what is happening? 😂
Isaac is so cute… he narrates as he draws! Just love his endless imagination! 😄

Isaac requested to build a ‘little model’ a while back. This project got him really excited. He had so many ideas – second storey, steps to reach the second storey, furniture, safe, pool with diving board, slide into his pool, playground etc…
He was so proud and happy with his little house!

See how his houses are all linked to each other by small lanes and there are smily snowmen standing ready to greet at every corner!
Look at the amazing details too – the front door of every house has a lamp and there’s a clock on the roof of the houses! 😀
